Oundle School’s beautiful limestone buildings, set in immaculate grounds, offer a stunning backdrop for wedding receptions, summer parties and celebrations. Our long experience of hosting and organising pupil and parent summer balls and events gives us unique insight into making your event successful and memorable. A warm welcome awaits.
Receptions and parties can be held in many of our unique buildings which are made exclusively yours for the day or evening – from the historic and imposing oak-panelled Great Hall, the medieval Laxton Long Room which is ideal for smaller, more intimate gatherings, to the Yarrow Gallery’s balconied space for receptions and musical events.
The School’s grounds provide perfect settings in which to erect marquees for summer balls, family gatherings or wedding receptions. Events can be situated close to indoor facilities, while benefiting from the lovely atmosphere and photo opportunities offered within the School’s gardens.
The Cloisters offer a secluded and sheltered Italianate venue for summer receptions in the centre of Oundle town. In contrast, our swimming pool can be booked for children’s parties with a huge inflatable ‘treasure island’, and we also offer parties and group bookings on our climbing wall.
Clients are free to make all their own arrangements for their special event, or the School Enterprises team are happy to assist with any aspect of organisation, including advice and information on limousine services, catering, marquee hire, floral arrangements, lighting, decoration and wedding/party planners. We work with local suppliers who are experts in their fields.
